Girls Cabin Getaway in Salmon Arm

As we get older it gets harder to allocate time for our friendships; work, family, and life get in the way. Our stay at Woodland Cabins was a great way to disconnect from the day-to-day stress and connect with each other. We had been planning a ‘Girls Trip’ for quite some time and we finally got around to it. It was incredible to get that time together without any distractions or responsibilities interrupting us. I feel like we are closer after this experience. Spending quality time together relaxing with a hot coffee on our micro cabin deck, exploring the grounds and walking trails, soaking in the hot tub nestled in the trees, warming up by the cozy firepit, or even just sitting together in comfortable silence; was so healing. I will never forget the memories we made here together.

The amenities are great, just what you need for a mini vacation. I’m a Social Media Manager/ Content Creator so having access to good WIFI is important to me. I didn't have any problems getting my work done while staying at Woodland Cabins. It was the perfect balance of rustic charm and comfort/ luxury. Comfortable beds in clean, quaint little cabins that have everything you need and nothing you don’t. We loved the firepit that was equipped with lights, chairs and even roasting sticks for marshmallows. The bathroom and shower building is a minute walk from your front door with warm string lights illuminating your path at night, creating the perfect ambiance for a peaceful evening routine. Our absolute favourite part had to be the dreamy hot tub hidden away amongst the trees. The ultimate way to unwind and connect with nature.

During our stay, we made a quick trip to Salmon Arm, seeking coffee. In the cutest downtown area we found Anvil Coffee Collective; an eclectic cafe with delightfully fresh brewed coffee and tasty baked goodies. I travel a lot and I am always looking for the best local places to grab a good coffee, I would definitely recommend making the short 20-minute trip from the cabins for that alone. Right next door is The Book Nook, a cute little shop that's perfect for browsing while enjoying your anvil coffee. We also took notice of a nearby wharf, at Marine Park. The view overlooking the lake and snow-capped mountains was incredible. The locals here are seriously the friendliest I've ever come across. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with warm smiles and kind greetings. We very much enjoyed our little stop in Salmon Arm.

I can’t recommend this little forest oasis enough. Shaun & Brenda are very attentive hosts and were happy to help us throughout our entire stay. From check-in to check-out, they'll ensure your stay is nothing short of spectacular. The hospitality and service is excellent. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time. It is a beautiful retreat into nature. Trust me when I say the photos don’t do it justice, you have to experience it in person.
